Education is the most important foundation in the life of any person. SCC has been working in Vietnam since 1992 to try and provide this essential element for hundreds of disadvantaged children each year. SCC offers scholarships for kindergarten right through to college and university, supporting students throughout. $150 can support a child in high school, while $250 can provide vocational training. Every little bit helps! The difference an educated child can make to their community by breaking the cycle of poverty is immense.

We have taken up the challenge to cycle through the mountainous terrain of southern Vietnam’s Central Highlands in November. We will be riding 300km around Da Lat and Nha Trang over the course of three days. One of the great things about the CCA is that the riders personally pay for the costs of the ride, so sponsors and supporters know that all the money the intrepid riders raise, goes directly to SCC to help fund our work.

SCC supports around 2,500 disadvantaged children with scholarships every year and provides vocational and life skills training to help Vietnamese children most in need, gain a basic education and equip themselves with skills necessary to work their way out of poverty. To this end, SCC builds schools, provide scholarships and vocational training.
