We research early diagnosis and treatments to beat pancreatic cancer.

Story

We are running the Ironbridge Half Marathon in memory of Simon Edwards, a friend to us all and for myself and my wife a friendship which had grown over 25 years.

A testimony to the kind of person he was, over 200 people attended his funeral. Simon has left a lasting memory on all he met. Aged 49, Pancreatic Cancer cruelly took his life and left a massive void of happiness and joy amongst many. We now treasure the everlasting memories of a man who will always be remembered by us and his many other friends for having a smile on his face and would ALWAYS do anything for you, we know it sounds clichéd but it is simply true. We all enjoyed his company so much, he always took time out to speak to people even if he didn’t know them all that well. We love him dearly and are all ready missing him so much but he will always be with us in our hearts and with so many happy memories we shall never forget our friend, Simon or "Mr Edwards" as he was affectionately known by us.

Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund is the only national charity dedicated solely to beating pancreatic cancer through research. Survival rates are low, so new research is vital. In the past, this cancer received little attention. With your help, we can change this so more people beat pancreatic cancer.
