Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Ben
Campbell, a friend of ours, who grew up in Thirsk, tragically died at
the age of 36 in Jan of this year, very unexpectedly, from pneumococcal
pneumonia.
Ben lived in Knaresborough in his later years with his partner Helen and
young twin boys. He was an avid mountain biker, runner (for
Knaresborough Striders) and obstacle racer – he did incredibly well in
the Spartan Series last year and also won the Pain Barrier race in
November last year – and this is how we know him best, through training
for, and competing in, the obstacle races with him.
To celebrate his life we have organised a 5k and 10k trail run at
Kilburn Woods near Thirsk. We have permission and the blessing from the family to
name the event after him and we are hoping it will become an annual
occasion.
If you don't want to take part but would like to donate to the chosen charity, a charity close to Ben's heart, here is your opportunity.
Many thanks for your support.
