Story
On the 23rd August 2015 I suffered a cardiac arrest. I was only resuscitated by my wife because of her quick recall of the British Heart Foundation 'Hard and Fast' video. She was able to successfully give me life-saving Hands-only CPR, and saved my life. (Check out her account here: www.ladyjames.org.uk)
I spent a week or so in Ipswich Hospital, before being transferred to Papworth Hospital for an ICD to be fitted.
While I was in hospital, Gary Jarvis suggested organising a relay running event. And this is it. We're running from Cambridge to Ipswich Hospital on the 3rd April 2016 to raise awareness and funds for three organisations that were pivotal in my survival and rehabilitation.
Here’s a map of the route we’ll take: Map of Route
Here’s a spreadsheet of the participants on each segment of the relay: Segment and Participant List
NOTE: There are three just giving pages in total for this event. Please do donate to all three evenly, or if you favour one in particular give generously! Thank you.
