Hi! My name is Joanne. 

I've decided to 'Brave the Shave!' for the charity - Mind. 

In August 2018, a close friend of mine - Brendon Holder took his own life. He was only 24 yrs old. 

Brendon's passing had a massive impact on his family and friends, that he left behind. 

I've worked in Education for over 18 years and I've witnessed first hand how mental health can affect people and their families and friends. 

Brendon was a fantastic Football player and the life and soul of the party. Brendon, had so much to live for. I only wish he knew how much he was loved by so, so many. 

Mental Health can affect anyone at anytime! 

On Thursday 9th April, Brendon would have been celebrating his 26th birthday. So, I've decided that's the day I will be Braving the Shave!! 

I will be doing a live stream for family and friends to join in the celebration of Brendon's life. I've asked friends to send photos and voice messages, so they can be played in the background whiles it's all going on.
