AWASA are continuing to raise money and awareness for PROMISEworks for a second year. PROMISEworks provide inspirational mentoring for the most vulnerable and disadvantaged young people aged 5 to 25 across Somerset, ensuring that the lives of many more disadvantaged young people change for the better. The PROMISEworks’ mentoring programme aims to: Keep young people in education and training Reduce the risk of long term mental health issues Reduce self-harm and harm to others Prevent anti-social and criminal behaviour Every £4,000 raised for PROMISEworks secures a two year mentorship programme. AWASA successfully raised £22,221.89 for PROMISEworks last year, and we aim to raise £20,000 again this year.
