In April next year, for better or worse, I will be doing the mighty London Marathon!  I am running it in support of Barts Health, and here's why -

This trust is full of such dedicated, outstanding practitioners and deserves to be recognised and supported on a national basis.  It works in a hugely diverse and challenging community in East London and needs all our positive financial support to keep this work up.  I've worked for 6 months in care of the elderly and, on numerous occasions, found myself humbled and inspired by work colleagues and the projects available for the vulnerable populations within the surrounding Boroughs.  Training to be a GP in Newham means I liaise almost daily with Barts Health and proudly tell me patients about the fantastic service and provision from all the Trusts' sites. 

I like to keep myself fit and have completed a few half marathon and 10k runs previously, although this will be my first run at the full marathon distance - and I need your support!  Please help me over the next 9 months to hit my target of 2.5k sponsorship.  As the times goes along, I'll be looking for several fundraising events and will keep you all posted on this page.  I'll also be highlighting the great work of Barts Trust over this time, and hopefully persuade you all to dish out some sponsorship!
