Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
4000 children die ever day of water-bourne diseases.
1.1 billion people (one in six of the worlds population) have no access to clean water and 2.5 billion have no adequate sanitation. We can survive a month without food but just 3 days without water.
Unsafe water is the biggest killer of children under the age of 5 . More than 1.4 million kids die every year.
Just a Drop is a small charity that has raised over £1 million to provide clean water to children in 29 countries.
I want to help. So I am taking part in the Hever Castle children's triathlon on September 25. I have to swim 100m in a lake (full of very dirty water!), cycle 4km and run 1.3km.
I hope to finish in 45 minutes. In that time 125 less fortunate children will have died due to waterborne diseases.
If I reach my target of £250, Just a Drop will be able to supply clean water to 250 children for 10 years.
Just a Drop may be a small charity, but together we can make a big difference.
Please give whatever you can.
Thanks very much, Jack Burcombe
