Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

When our lovely Dad and Grandad became terminally ill a few months ago, he was given the most amazing care, firstly at home from the Woodlands at Home carers, and then when he was taken into the Woodlands Hospice, where he spent his last few days in pain free peace.

The staff, from Ancillary to Consultant went above and beyond everyday, ensuring that Dad was comfortable and peaceful at all times.  Their care and support didn't just stop with Dad though, the care and support shown to us as a family was second to none, and for this we will always be truly grateful.

So as a family we'd like to give our support to Woodlands by taking part in the Light up the Night 10K walk on 13th of October, so we kindly ask for your sponsorship with our walk, 120K between us, and help us to help Woodlands continue providing specialist palliative care to adults living with life-threatening illnesses in their beautiful hospice, which our Mum described as "Heaven on Earth".

We thank you in anticipation of any support you can offer to help us reach our goal  X Jacki
