On 28th July I was diagnosed with a grade 3 breast cancer - this was devastating news for myself and my family and friends.  Everything moved so quickly and before I knew it I was sitting with some very lovely ladies at Fresh Hair who are based in the Cancer Unit of UHNS discussing wigs etc. 

I then decided that I would like to donate my hair to a charity that makes wigs from real hair for children who sometimes do not have any regrowth of their hair after treatments.   

Where to start, I thought, to raise money for this fantastic salon.  Fortunately for me I knew someone who raises money via the Jean Beech Fundraising organisation that are currently helping to fund a new salon facility based at UHNS (he just happens to be a Barber - lucky me!) his wife is a hairdresser who will cut my hair first to enable me to donate 18.5" to the Little Princess Trust.

This will be a very emotional time for me and the family and friends who will be there to support me.  If you could please donate as much as you can, it doesn't matter how much, as it will all add up and will help those who need it now and in the future.
