Hi all!

Domestic violence is sadly still a common issue affecting adults and children of all ages.The issue has been compounded further with charities reporting a 50% increase in calls for aid, and 400% increase in visits to websites as a result of the current Covid-19 lockdown.

First Light is a front line charity supporting people in Cornwall, Devon and Wiltshire who have been affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence, and every year help thousands of men, women and children in the South West to lead safer lives, free from violence and abuse.

I will be walking and wild-camping over more than 150 miles across two weeks in July from Westward Ho! to St. Ives, with the aim to help raise the profile of First Light and to raise £5000 in support of their crucial work.

You may not know it, but it is likely that someone you know at some point in their life will or has experienced domestic violence, and your donation can help have a direct impact in releasing them from abuse.

UPDATE** 
I became aware after the fact that JustGiving accrue funds via donations which amounts to around £1.10 on a £30 donation with £7.50 GiftAid . As such will endeavour to pay these funds back to the charity based on what we all manage to raise together, so that all of the money that you intend for the charity reaches them
