Although an innocent bump which was removed from my tongue came back all clear, the biopsy revealed displasia in the surrounding tissue which is something you would never normally notice at this stage. To both raise awareness of how this pre-cancerous condition can creep up on you (and it is only by chance mine has hopefully been caught), and of course, assist my own healing, I am stopping drinking and smoking between now and my next appointment at the start of December.
