Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Our daughter Eva was born on the 19/05/2010 and was diagnosed with a rare congenital heart condition called Truncus Arteriosus. She faced 8 hours of complex major open heart surgery when she was 3 weeks and 5 days old. The operation was carried out in Yorkhill Hospital where Eva stayed until she was allowed home at 5 weeks and 2 days old. During Eva's stay in Yorkhill, Ronald McDonald House provided us with free accomodation while Eva was in Intensive care. This was invaluable to us as we were always near our baby. We also recieved fantastic care from Yorkhill and feel now a year on with Eva doing well its time to give something back. (please see our video for more detail, apologies as youtube disabled the audio!)We are asking everyone to split what they wish to donate and give something to each charity. Please visit www.justgiving.com/James-Crainie to donate to Yorkhill Children's Foundation.

So far we have held a fundraising evening on 10th June  which raised in the region of £3500 and counting! The next event is a sponsored cycle of the West Highland Way which is 100 miles in total! I plan to do this along with my brother and cousin on the 17th June 2011 finishing on 19th June 2011. Please sponsor generously!

Thanks,

James
