Story
This is the fifth year of this fun run, but only my second. A hundred plus, mostly seasoned naturists, shed their clothes and "run" round the Yorkshire Wildlife Park when the wild beasts are safely tucked away, to raise funds for research promoting polar bear survival. The high point of our circuit is round the polar bear enclosure, where most of us stop for selfies and a chat. Four of these magnificent mammals will probably be seen sheltering from the sun under rocks around their own small lake.
Humans enjoy the option of stripping down to bare skin when we are too hot, and that's what we'll be doing on a glorious (we hope) summer's evening. Our friends can't shed their bearskins, so global heating is a very real threat to their survival. This annual event is organised by YWPF in conjunction with British Naturism.
