Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running the Brighton Marathon for Chestnut Tree House, the only children's hospice in Sussex.

Chestnut Tree House currently cares for more than 210 children with life-limiting illnesses and around 700 family members from across Sussex.

Caring for a sick child can raise all sorts of practical, physical and emotional issues, which effect not only the child but their loved ones too.

Chestnut Tree House provides a home from home environment for the whole family, offering practical and emotional support, as well as dedicated care.

It costs over £2 million per year to provide the services at Chestnut Tree House and all care is provided free of charge. Currently, Chestnut Tree House receives less than 10% in government funding, but even this amount is under in 2011.

I am also running on behalf of the adult hospiceSt Barnabas House, if you would prefer to support them instead please visit http://www.justgiving.com/James-Millen1
