Alan Blunden & Co Ltd are an insurance broker established for over 60 years and serving the local community of Southend-on-Sea.

We would like to give something back to that community!

With that in mind, 10 of our staff have bravely volunteered to jump out of a plane at 14,000ft, preferrably with a parachute. We will be working with the charity to book this for a weekend in April 2011, final date to be confirmed.

A number of people here have had connections with Southend Hospital and/or the Bosom Pals Appeal, a charity dedicated to ensuring breast cancer is identified early and treated effectively. The Bosom Pals appeal is raising money towards:

- 2 Digital Mammography Machines

- Digital Faxitron

- Digital Biopsy Machine

- MRI Breast Coil

- Improvements to the cancer wards of Southend Hospital
