Dear Friend, I am writing because I need your help to raise funds for World Medicine in order to facilitate a delegation treating refugees in the Gaza Strip this October. I need to raise at least £1,200 to fund this trip. I will be part of a group of acupuncturists and an osteopath, who will treat citizens and refugees suffering from the physical and emotional effects of trauma and war. The results from the last trip were fantastic, there was a huge demand for our treatment, and therapists saw hundreds of patients, some of whom had even been waiting to get into the clinic since 4am. We were pleased to be able to treat high numbers of children, who responded very well. The therapists had great success training the local doctors in ear acupuncture, which has continued to flourish. On this next trip I will be developing this work with a broader medical team. The charity, World Medicine really needs your support. Your donation would be greatly appreciated to cover my costs of travel, lodgings, translators and equipment.
