Story

Assalamu Alaikum,

MESSAGE FROM SHEIKH ABDUR RAHMAN MADANI Principle of Jamiatul Ummah

Jamiatul Ummah is a highly successful independent secondary school, combining National Curriculum and Islamic education.

We currently have over 180 students in years 7 to 11. From 2008 we will be opening a sixth form.

We value traditional values of hard work, discipline and respect. Students are prepared to participate fully in modern society, qualified to progress to College and University, and ultimately to become fully integrated and highly respected members of the wider community.

We create a stimulating and effective learning environment, using modern teaching methods and technology. In 2007, our students achieved an 86% pass rate at GCSE, and we have consistently been among the top two schools in Tower Hamlets for SATs results. Jamiatul Ummah in 2008 came at the top of the Tower Hamlets GCSE league table by obtaining 87% and continues to take a lead in SATS Key Stage 3 and GCSE results in the Borough.

Please donate generously to enable us to continue this provision for the muslim ummah of Britain.

Ebrahim College was established in 2003 as a Darul Uloom style seminary appropriate for the modern world. The aim was to benefit from the rigour and credibility of the traditional Darul Uloom and, where it was deemed beneficial, merge it with the best in modern curriculum development, pedagogy, technology and research.
