Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
There are 180 of us planning to set off from the Galpharm Stadium on Wednesday 27 April 2011 and pedal over 260 miles to Brighton, arriving in time for their game against Town on Saturday 30 April 2011, with stops in between of course!
The Yorkshire Air Ambulance particularly incurs a significant daily cost providing the service that they do - saving lives!
Cycling from Huddersfield to Brighton. 260 miles over 3.5 days is no walk in the park and is going to take some grit and determination from everyone taking part. Most of all me as I haven't regulary ridden a bike since being a kid. Which despite my youthful good looks is still sometime ago now......... The training has started and I assure you saddle sore bloody hurts!
Anyways every penny counts and any donations you can drum up would be great. The target I've set myself is £1000. If all 180 of the participants achieved this it would be a huge amount of cash for the two causes we're doing this for to put to good use.
All costs are being covered by the participants themselves - so that's kit, food, accommodation, travel home etc so all the cash raised goes direct to the YAA / Town's Academy.
All money donated will go to the Keep It Up campaign, which supports the Yorkshire Air Ambulance and the Huddersfield Town Academy, with 50p of every £1 going to each cause.
