On Fathers Day 2009, Maisy Rose Bolus, a 14 month old little girl, was diagnosed with a large Brain Tumour.

It is a very rare malignant tumour that only presents in 500 children a year worldwide, so it is still quite poorly understood. Maisy is currently receiving treatment in the UK but her prognosis is not good and the doctors are running out of options because of her age. 

In Europe & America however they have more options and they will offer her Proton Therapy as part of a curative plan. This may be the only treatment that could save her life.

While Maisy's Parents remain increasingly positive, they also know that due to the highly aggressive nature of Maisy's illness, certain treatments are only available outside of the UK

 

What are we doing to raise money for Maisy..........

To raise money for The Maisy Rose Project, on the 26th & 27th September,  two teams from the Linklaters ISS department - Toby Moore & Jamie Mardell and Paton Rogers, Lynn Taylor & Rob Flack are taking part in this years London Rat Race. 

This compromises a 2 and a half hour run around the streets of London on the Saturday evening, with the objective being to reach various checkpoints and complete various tasks in the alloted time

The Sunday sees the team take to their bikes and set of across the whole of London competing in more challenges while clocking up about 80km between the hours of 9-5pm.
