Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Over the last few years, a number of my family and friends have been diagnosed with cancer and I have seen first hand the impact of that on their lives and the lives of those closest to them.
The treatment of cancer relies on research into new ways to beat this dreadful disease and a large proportion of this research is carried out by charities. The nightmare of the last few months has resulted in a dramatic decline in the amount of money that is donated to charities so I have decided to take on a personal challenge to help with that.
I will be cycling from Milan to Venice in May 2021 to raise money for three charities:
Breast Cancer Now
Ovarian Cancer Action
Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust.
These are all amazing charities doing great things to support people post diagnosis and funding research and development into new treatments.
I know that the ride isn't going to be easy but I know that it will be easier than having to go through cancer treatment.
