I want to help fund-raise for Miss Waheed's new scanning room, which will allow East Surrey Hospital to offer a one stop breast clinic.

I'm getting involved so that other local women don't have to go through weeks of anxiety, waiting to get their results.  The new clinic will enable women to have all the investigations and results in one day, leading to immediate reassurance, or a diagnosis that can be dealt with more quickly. 

I was lucky that I got the 'all clear' but had to wait three weeks to find out and it would have been so much better to have known straight away. 

My fundraising idea is for me to ask ten of my close friends to each donate £5 (or more) and then for each of them to ask ten of their friends, and so on.
