Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On Sunday 8th August 2010 I will be attempting to complete my 3rd ironman distance triathlon, Outlaw 2010, in and around Nottingham, UK. The event will start with a 2.4mile swim in Holme Pierrepont's Regatta Lake, followed by a 112mile (3 lap) cycle through south Nottinghamshire into the rolling green north of the county and Sherwood Forest, and concluding with a 26.2 mile (4 lap) run around the lake and along the Trent river between Holme Pierrepont and Victoria Embankment/Trent Bridge. If all goes well with my training between now and then, I hope to have a chance of beating my ironman PB from Challenge Barcelona 2009 of 13:22, (but it could be a long shot).... Naturally, if any of you would like to come along and support on the day, you will be very welcome. More event details can be found at http://www.onestepbeyond.org.uk/the-outlaw-triathlon.php, (or give me a shout)...

This year, my charity of choice is the Marine Conservation Society, the UK charity dedicated to protecting our seas, shores and wildlife, by championing marine wildlife protection, sustainable fisheries and clean seas and beaches. MCS' vision is for seas rich in wildlife, abundant fish stocks and pollution free beaches and bathing waters – seas that are fit for wildlife to thrive in and for people to enjoy, and seas that will support future generations with abundant resources.
