Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. As you may remember, this time 2 years ago Madeleine and myself were raising money for cancer research by doing the 5K walk in Winchester. We both enjoyed the challenge and so grateful to all who donated. 2 years on, I have decided to push myself harder and give Madeleine another year off. I am heading to Scotland in June, along with 5 other friends, to walk the challenge of a life time - 54 miles in 24 hours non stop!!!! Google "Calendonian Challenge" and look at the profile of the walk, what have we let ourselves in for!! As you all know this is in aid of Duncan, my husband, and his recovery of Hodgkin's Disease 2 years ago. I am pleased to say that he is now in remission and not looking backwards. I have other friends, who now are going through similar times as we did 2 years ago, so this walk is for you all - you know who you are. Keep fighting it and I will keep walking it. We all seem to know some-one, be it family or friends, who have been affected by cancer. Duncan is a walking example of what research and cures can be achieved, so please dig deep in your pockets as who knows what is round the corner. Cancer can be beaten. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it's the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Thank-you for support Love Janet
