As most of you know it has been a long-standing ambition of mine to run a marathon (exacerbated by my mid-life crisis!!), so I am thrilled to bits to be doing the 2010 London Marathon for Help The Hospices.

I have always felt indebted to the Hospice cause because of the outstanding compassion and care they gave to my mum and our family when she was so ill. Both my mum and James' mum died in Hospices so its a cause that has great personal significance.
