Story
Khalsa Aid was the charity that made me realise that anyone can make a difference to those suffering across the globe. It’s simple really. Maybe we could each try treating a child to £3 eye surgery instead of treating ourselves to those £30 shoes?!
Khalsa Aid have sparkled across the globe, bringing hope to those who lost everything; standing with them when their homes were flooded, supporting them when there was no safe water, carried them through the aftermath of earthquakes, while bringing smiles to faces of kids who lost their parents.
I'm hoping to raise over £10,000 to contribute to the amazing work of Khalsa Aid. This non-profit charity have taken up opportunities to serve various countries in times of crisis & without doubt made a difference to thousands of families across the world.
Having ran 1,000k (621.4 miles) through training, 10k's and half marathons, climbed Ben Nevis & Mount Snowdon, abseiled Titan Crane, completed a 4 hour aerobathon and cycled from Glasgow to Edinburgh, I’m up for more challenges to raise more funds!
I feel extremely blessed to be given the opportunity to go Haiti next month to visit the orphans from the Haiti Earthquake. The Khalsa Aid team will be installing more water pumps, providing shoes, clothes, pens and toiletries to the orphanage camp. Please please dig deep and donate, even if it’s a little amount, each penny is closer to £10,000!
