Story

Welcome to my TCS London Marathon #TeamHDA fundraising page.

As many of you already know, my sister Laura lost her long battle
with Huntington’s disease back in August 2019. Huntington’s is a debilitating neurodegenerative disease which currently has no cure. The symptoms of this disease gradually worsen over time and in the latter stages involuntary jerking, issues with speaking, swallowing
and even breathing occur.

This is an immensely cruel disease yet, due to its relative rarity, it does not receive as much attention as others. I am honoured to be
running the 2024 London Marathon in memory of Laura and in aid of the Huntington’s Disease Association (HDA). The HDA charity is instrumental in improving the care and support services for people with the disease and those close to them. They also educate families and professionals on all aspects of the disease.

With your help I am aiming to raise £100 for every year Laura
had with us before she was taken too soon.  Please dig deep and help to support this incredibly important charity! (Target now upped to 5k)

Thank you,

Jayme
