Tragically, my beautiful cousin lost her battle with depression on Saturday. She was the most kind hearted, gentle best friend I could've wished for growing up. I always looked up to her determination and sheer hard work at anything that she did. She helped me grow in my faith with God and I'll treasure our memories forever. Words cannot describe the heartache from her loss.
This now makes the cause even more important to my family and I. Hannah had raised money for mind last year and id love to truly finish what she started. Whenever it gets painful, I'll look down at her gorgeous picture on my T-shirt and push on! Thank you all so much for your kind donations, I know it would've meant so much to her.
Every year 1 in 4 of us will suffer with a mental health problem.
Training hasn't been great, so I can't promise an impressive time but I can promise that I will finish it one way or another! I'd like to raise money for a cause whilst putting myself through the 13 miles of misery.
I have chosen the charity 'Mind'. They work with those suffering from a mental health condition with direct local support, education and awareness and also wider work with campaigning for change. You can have a read about what they do in more detail on their website.
I'm sure that most of you reading this know somebody that has been effected by mental health problems, be it themselves, a family member, friend or colleague.
Any small donation will help towards this great cause. Thank you very much!
