I have been following the work of World Horse Welfare (previously the ILPH) for a long time and when I heard about the Coast to Coast Challenge, I jumped at the chance to raise a sum of money for them, whilst doing something challenging that I've never done before.

Trekking from the west to the east coast of over six days, six hours a day and camping overnight is a massive challenge for me and although it will be a fantastic experience, it will be hard.  Just as hard as raising the £1,500 I have pledged to raise for the WHW.

Please let me note know that none of the funds raised through sponsorship will go towards the trek, (I am not looking for a free holiday!) and I am raising the rest of my payment separately.

I am really passionate about this charity and would love to raise as much as I can for them so they can continue to do their great work.  Although many horses, ponies and donkeys are loved and well looked after, they can just as commonly be neglected and abused by their owners.  This is a huge problem in my eyes, which can be turned around with the education of owners.  Not only do the WHW work at this cause, to educate and train overseas and in the UK but also rescue and rehabilitate horses, ponies and donkeys and try to find suitable, new, loving homes for these animals, giving them the love and attention they deserve and should have had previously.  The WHW also actively campaign on current issues regarding equine welfare, with excellent results.

World Horse Welfare are working to solve the problems...we can help them!!
