Dear all,

With lots of kind help and support from my school tutor Nat Waring, I finished the 7 mile run in roughly an hour around Rutland Water ( see photos). I also looped the loop in a Tutor aircraft over  RAF Shawbury. I hope to do the re-arranged sky dive in September. Thank you to all who donated to Vision Africa. If you can support further, please do help those young girls in Nairobi to have a better start in life.

I am really sorry but the skydiving jump was cancelled due to bad weather but is being re-organised for next weekend!! I also have my 7 mile run in 2 weeks. I am still trying to raise some more money and reach my goal till then. Many thanks.

Hi my name is Jessica Parker and I’m doing a quarter marathon run (7 miles) and a skydiving jump (3,500 ft) for Vision Africa children’s charity. I am 16 years old and at school in Rutland. I have been wanting for a long time to do something to help other people, so I have organised to do a run (I love running) sometime in the summer in June or July, with some friends and a skydiving jump at the end of this term on  the thursday 30th of June, which I am very scared about because I am afraid of heights! This is also very special to me because my granny has enabled me to have this fantastic opportunity by sponsering my skydiving jump, enabling me to do it.

I am also in the middle of my gcse's and although they are very important to me, it reminds me that i am very lucky to have guaranteed food and water, an education and a loving family. which many people don't have, and sometimes that we take for granted.

I am sponsoring this charity which provides education, protect and shelter for orphaned children in Kenya. They help the children to survive, to love and to learn. In particular they help teenage girls to have a future: something I feel very passionate about.

All donations would be much appreciated, and any amount would be wonderful – so thank you very much.
