It provides specialist palliative care for people facing cancer and other life-limiting illnesses and offers help and support for their families and carers. In memory of my wonderful dad, I am this year forgoing the bike ride (the added load up front is not conducive), and instead am entering the altogether more sedate, Midnight to Sunrise Walk, a 10 mile stroll around the streets of Stoke.
