Story
On friday 18th april 2014 I've decided to abseil down Spinnaker Tower in Gunwharf Quays to raise money for Ocean Ward in Southampton General Hospital.
I want to do this to show my thanks for the fantastic care and attention that the staff gave us and Jack and all the other children and families that need the ward.
Jack spent his first 10 days after being born in Ocean ward after being diagnosed with a congenital heart problem at our 20 week pregnancy scan. He had a condition called aortic coarctation and needed to be operated on shortly after birth. He had his operation at 6 days old and was allowed home at 10 days. Since his opertion he has gone from strength to strength and now you would never know he was ever poorly!!
Families of Ocean Ward is a registered Charity (1145013) formed by volunteer parents of children with cardiac disease who rely on the services provided by Ocean Ward and it’s team of specialist and dedicated staff.
