Please can you donate just £2.50  to the Red Cross Haiti Earthquake Apppeal   (If you want to donate more then you are more than welcome to do so).

The earthquake, reported to be the worst to hit Haiti in more than two hundred years has reportedly killed 50,000 people and left an estimated 3 million in need of emergency aid.

At present, the UK Government have donated £6 million to help humanitarian relief work in Haiti, with less than £100, 000 going directly to the appeal launched by the Red Cross.

The funds from this appeal will support vital relief operations and will focus on shelter, restoring water and sanitation, and providing medical care as well as psychological support to the people whose lives have been devastated by this disaster.*

What the money we raise can do:

·         £10 will buy a hygiene kit for one family

·         £25 will buy ten 14-litre buckets

·         £50 will buy two basic toilets to serve forty people

·         £750 could provide warm blankets for 100 families.

·         £1,000 could provide tarpaulins to shelter 35 families made homeless

·         £2,500 could provide kitchen sets for 150 families who have lost everything.  

This is a very worthwhile cause which will help many people and I thank you for your support.
