“ I am raising money to support and highlight U K families who have lost loved ones to manslaughter & murder whilst on holiday, travelling or working abroad.
I have decided to run 122km for victims of murders & manslaughter abroad who can now access vital support and services from the charity Murdered Abroad.
The Challenge kicks off with a Virtual London marathon through the village of Cheddar on the 23rd of April.
Six days later I will attempt to run the 80km Butcombe Ultra; a circular race around the Mendip Hills.
Why have I decided to support this cause and attempt this crazy challenge?
I occasionally go for a beer at the Rickford Plume & Feathers. What I didn’t know was that a regular Brian Chandler lives with the trauma of losing his beloved grandson who was thrown off a hotel balcony in Crete. On average every week more than one British citizen is murdered abroad.
Any donation no matter how small or big for this cause will be a positive, as it will help fund support for families who have to live with the tragedy of losing loved ones.
Thank you for your generosity. “
