We support children to learn, grow & become who they want to be

Story

We are undertaking a 214 mile bike journey from the TK Maxx store in Bexleyheath, across the channel to Calais and onto Brussels via Bruge.

As if this wasn't challenging enough, we will be taking turns on 8 bikes sourced from Uganda and use by millions of locals everyday, these are stong but have NO gears and prove an endurance test just to ride.

Since 2007 TJX Europe has been supporting Save the Childrens work in the Western Rwenzori region of Uganda, a highly remote mountanious area affected by years of conflict. As a result an entire generation has missed out on an education and infrasturcture is extremely poor -  nearly 8000 children have already been helped by providing classrooms, equipments, books, training teachers and mobilising communities to recognise the importance of eduction.

There is still alot to do and we are looking to build on this progress by providing support that creates a long trem, sustainable impact.
