Well I've only gone and done it!!! The hair has gone, but the fundraising continues... I will be auctioning Natalie's wedding dress along with bridesmaids dresses to hopefully boost the total further. If you respect what I've done then please donate to Macmillan. Thanks.
So, on Saturday 9th May I will be doing a 'Jessie J' and having my head shaved at The Haywain Brackla. I really really really want to raise as much money as possible for Macmillan Cancer Support, and will also donate my hair to Little Princess Trust who make wigs for children suffering hair loss. (Anyone who knows me, knows I've got a lot of hair to give!)
Why am I doing this??
Well, I have a very close friend to thank, Natalie Garfield. In December 2012 she and Paul announced their engagement and I was asked to be a bridesmaid. Having never been one before I was chuffed and decided to start growing my hair from that point till the wedding in April 2015. Over time I started to think about the possibility of doing something with my hair once I had fulfilled my duties as a proud bridesmaid.
I know I am not alone in having lost a relative and close friends to cancer, so please support me if you can. Any donation, however small, WILL make a difference.
