Update -
Two years after signing up for the London Marathon I’m actually going to run it!!!!
My fundraising is still going well and I'm hopeing to reach my to target of £1500 A HUGE THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
Our waterways and countryside is something most of us take for granted, it is just there looking amazing all of the time. But this is
only because of the many charities and volunteers who do the actual
maintenance and preservation work locally and nationally.
Did you know a single charity maintains the 2000miles of inland waterways in England and Wales? including 2980 bridges, 1580 locks, and 335 aqueducts!
The Canal & Rivers Trust do this work for us.
I have been walking the dog and jogging on the canal for years, I have
ran the Rugby half marathon before in 2015 - it is now the time for me
to accept the challenge of running 26.2 miles for a cause which benefits
all of us.
This is my way of giving something back to Canal & Rivers Trust to say, thank you, and keep up the fantastic work!
- Did you know Hilmorton Locks is the busiest lock in the country?
- Did you know the Britains largest inland waterways festival is held just 7miles from the centre of Rugby?
Lets help keep the history, wildlife and beauty of the waterways thriving for us all to enjoy.
