In 2021 my family lost an incredibly special member. Ian Martin, Husband to my cousin Steven, who sadly passed away following a long battle with alcohol.

As someone who has been a non consumer of alcohol for the 6.5 years, I am familiar with the stigma and challenges attached to both excessive drinking and remaining free of alcohol.

I have chosen this charity in memory of Ian and as thanks for the support London Friend provided both he and Steven in latter years.

Ultimate Challenge supports over 400+ charities on their platform and at the time of writing, London Friend is the only LGBTQ charity being represented and I am proud to be the one doing so, for this event. 2022 is also London Friend's 50th anniversary.

So what will I be doing?

I plan to raise money by walking 100K along the Jurassic Coast. With elevations of over 1500ft and approximately 10 hours of walking a day, I hope to complete this challenge within a 2 day window.

Those who know me, know I am no mountain goat and while I might be great on the flat, sadly my body has other ideas when it comes to hills.
