We breed and train guide dogs to give blind people freedom and mobility

Story

Its me again. . .getting in early this year, training has started, so thought I'd start fundraising early too . . .

Thankyou for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving  - it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity I support.
So please dig deep and donate now.

This charity is close to my heart as my mum was blind, and had her own guide dog Amy, who is still with us but fully retired and now a pet.

Guide Dogs for the Blind do so much to improve the lives of thousands of blind and partially sighted people, who without their dogs, would be homebound and scared to venture outside their own front doors.

The life of a guide dog costs the charity approx £30,000 a year, so please, please dig deep and help all those people less fortunate than ourselves.

All donations are really appreciated, and I suppose my challenge is to complete the run, but in a better time than last year of 2hr 38, so this years challenge is 2hr 15, so best get my training shoes on!!!!

Thankyou to you all. . . .

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
