Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my just giving page.

In February my amazing/inspirational friend asked me if I would run the GNR this year to support a charity set up in her husbands memory….. how could I say no!

The main aim of the charity is to raise money for research into Giant Cell Myocarditis and to support junior football at grassroots level in the NE which Stephen was involved with from an early age through to NUFC school of excellence.

As you know, I am not a runner, I am putting myself out of my comfort zone. I will be jogging and walking my way over the Tyne Bridge twice this year so your support is truly needed.

I would therefore be grateful if you could help me raise some money for this great charity. Please don’t feel you have to share and any amount is truly appreciated.

About the charity

‘The Stephen Thompson Foundation’ was set up in December 2011. Following the tragic death of Stephen, those close to him were left with an overwhelming need to do something to help and to keep his memory alive by turning sadness into something positive. http://www.stephenthompsonfoundation.org/
