Story

** HELLO EVERYONE, DUE TO UNFORTUNATELY BREAKING MY COLLAR BONE I HAVE BEEN ADVISED THAT I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO PARTICIPATE WITH THIS YEAR'S LONDON MARATHON

PLEASE NOTE THAT I HAVE ALREADY BEEN ACCEPTED FOR NEXT YEAR'S RUN FOR GREAT ORMOND STREET.  THE KIND DONATIONS THAT YOU HAVE ALL CONTRIBUTED TO RAISE SUCH AN AMAZING TOTAL WILL BE FROZEN FOR NEXT YEAR'S MARATHON, FOR MY BROTHER FRANK. **

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello everyone,

Many thanks for visiting my fundraising page.  I hope you can all dig deep and help me achieve my target!

I am running this years London Marathon in memory of my younger brother Frank Michael Day, who meant the world to me and everyone who knew him.  Throughout his life he always gave so much to others and his courage, kindness and charm will be remembered forever.

I have chosen to donate the money I raise to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, as Frank was transferred to this hospital shortly before he passed away.

The care and support we received from the doctors and nurses at Great Ormond Street Hospital was so immense, this is why I wish to raise as much money as possible to give a little something back on behalf of myself and my family.

The money will contribute towards the ongoing improvement of the hospital, such as purchasing modern equipment, scientific research for new treatments, and providing an environment sensitive to the needs of patients, their families and staff.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (GOSHCC) will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

This is the first time I have ever attempted to run anywhere near 26 miles, so this is quite a challenge for me!

Please help me in achieving my goal by forwarding this page to your friends, family and work colleagues who would like to sponsor me.

MANY THANKS FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
