Story
Mental health is an issue that affects 1 in 4 people directly.
Somebody close to us has suffered from a long standing battle with mental health issues, so in support of them, Armon, Tom, Joe and I have decided to step out of our own comfort zones and run the Amsterdam Marathon in mid-October.
Those of you that know us will know that this is a zero to (hopefully) hero training programme.
Whilst Joe is arguably the more athletic of the bunch, he has recently suffered a serious foot injury that he says has "cost him his shot at the premier league". Armon has always said there is one thing you’ll never catch him doing; running a marathon as it’s “for people with nothing better to do”.. Tom's diet consists mainly of beige oven-dinners and cans of Coca Cola, and the lockdown has caused Luc to 'invest' in a gold membership with Deliveroo - and you have to get your moneys worth, right?
Our goal is raise a minimum of £5000 (originally £1500, which we smashed in less than 12 hours, followed by £2000, £3000 then £4000) - any donations, however big or small they may be, are greatly appreciated.
