Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last year Joy, my wife and far better half, had to have intensive chemotherapy treatment for Leukaemia.

She was cared for brilliantly during her 5 months of treatment at Worcester Royal Hospital on their Laurel 3 Haematology Ward .

And they could really do with some help there right now, equipping a new Day Care centre for patients undergoing various treatments for cancer. It's vital that this new centre comes on-line fully equipped, and it will be a huge help to them in the excellent job of care they do there already.

The new unit means patients now get immediate access to the care, expertise and specialised nursing skills of the Laurel 3 ward, whether it's needed for re-admittance to hospital during breaks in treatment, or for on-going out-patient treatment.

But they could really do with a few more things to make it even better, like extra pump units, adjustable chairs, specialist beds, that kind of thing.

So four days spent out in the wind and rain on a bike ride  to raise some funds for them is probably the least I can do. Those of you who know me will vouch for the fact that I'm no Chris Hoy or Bradley Wiggins (and at my age I should certainly know better!) so we're doing around 50-70 miles a day over four days, between 17th to the 21st May.

Just £500 raised would go a long way to helping them and their patients with this new facility - so please help if you can, with many, many thanks.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you JJJ
