Story
Last year, our team in work were stunned by the news that a long standing and much loved colleague had been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. As he continues to fight back, he has been an inspiration to myself, so I thought it was time to give something back.
My long hair has been a part of my life for a good many years now, and even having it cut off in a dream leaves an uncomfortable feeling when I wake. But, in honour of Paul, I'm willing to give it up to raise much needed funds towards Pancreactic Cancer research.
I risk alienating my daughter who has never known me with short hair and is vehemently against the idea, but these are risks worth taking.
Pancreatic cancer is a tough one but we’re taking it on. It is tough to diagnose, tough to treat, tough to research and tough to survive. For too long this disease has been sidelined. We want to make sure that everyone affected by it gets all the help they need. We are supporting those affected by the disease, investing in ground breaking research, lobbying for greater recognition of pancreatic cancer and being a voice for everyone involved in the fight. Together we are taking on pancreatic cancer.
So please, donate if you can, and even if you can't please share the page around social media etc.
And if we exceed target, I will try and have the actual haircutting part livestreamed on my Facebook page.
