Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. My blog is:

I am a 68 year old grandad with four grandchildren, a dodgy chest and an even dodgier arthritic back. I have short bandy legs and am entirely the wrong shape for running.
However, I started a project to run a marathon a year from the age of 60 until I reach 100 years old. The idea is that I would raise £1m for Actionaid who help the adults and children around the world who suffer the most devastating poverty and cruelty. They help by giving people the resources and training to help themselves. Sometimes this involves giving seeds or just a small hut to live in. Sometimes it involves helping them to get organised to take on governments to get proper schooling or just a water supply. Women are educated to challenge the norm that they can be subject to violent attack and to develop skills to earn a living themselves. This is a great charity.
It is a staggering thought to realise that a £25 will save a human life,
The good news is that so far I have completed eight annual marathons and raised over £18,000 for Actionaid and am in training to run my ninth annual marathon in 2013 at Stratford.
