Story

Finished!!!  We left St Bees on Sunday 25th July, and after nearly 100 hours of walking over the following 13 days, we finally arrived tired and aching 192 miles away in Robin Hood's Bay on Friday 6th August, and here are the photos to prove it!  A fantastic experience, even when it was hurting like hell.  Thank you to everyone for their sponsorship and support.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Last March, when she was just 5 weeks old, my daughter Mia was admitted to Great Ormond Street Hospital suffering from what we later found out was a rare tumour called a neuroblastoma.  Following a successful operation to remove it, she is now a very happy, healthy little girl once more.  Lynsey and I cannot thank all the staff at Great Ormond Street enough, and hopefully with your help we can raise a stack of cash to help the many other children and parents who pass through Great Ormond Street Hospital every day.

So last summer, my mate Stuart and I came up with an idea to do the Coast to Coast walk in aid of Great Ormond Street.  It's a 192  mile trek from St Bees in Cumbria on the Irish Sea to Robin Hoods Bay in Yorkshire on the North Sea. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coast_to_Coast_Walk. We'll be walking for 11 days in all, starting on 25th July, and with a couple of rest days thrown in to recover, we should finish on Friday 6th August, when a well-earned beer will be very much in order!
