Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit the Cradock Arms' JustGiving page.

We're a group of local people taking part in a charity cycle ride for Hope Against Cancer (https://www.hopeagainstcancer.org.uk). This local charity is funded purely from events like this. We've pledged to raise £1,000 EACH for this charity! All proceeds are reinvested in the Leicestershire and Rutland area.

Ten cyclists from The Cradock Arms (+ Jonny who owing to health issues will be following us with the support crew)  are going to take part in an incredible challenge: 2500FFFFFurlongs Cycle Challenge 2019

As part of this challenge, we are going to ride 350+ miles, cycling between racecourses over 4 days from Leicester to Yorkshire and back.

We are doing this in memory of dear friends and family affected by cancer.

We have funded over 100 research projects tackling many forms of cancer. In 2012 we opened a dedicated clinical trials centre at Leicester Royal Infirmary to offer patients access to new medicines and therapies. We also fund two nurses who add to the care and support trials patients receive.
