Story

Hi Joolez here,

I'm turning 30!

I love nothing more than a big birthday party, those that were at my 21st know!

I was planning a big party for my 30th, but have had a change of heart.

Instead I am going to do a tandem Sky Dive, from 13,000 feet. You know just casually jump out of a plane. (FYI - I'm afraid of heights and have never done a sky dive before.)

I will be raising money for:

World Endometriosis Research Foundation

You may or may not know that I have a chronic disease called Endometriosis. You may have read about it in the press recently.

Endometriosis is not a lifestyle disease, the cause is unknown, and there is no definitive cure.

I was completely physically disabled by Endometriosis for about three years, it was a real struggle, I could barely carry a bag of shopping home, let alone work.

But I am very lucky, I was able to have surgery with an Endometriosis specialist and am now doing much better. Most women and girls are not this lucky, and without the support of my family I could never have had this kind of treatment.

Endometriosis affects similar numbers of women as Diabetes, but you may not of heard of it.

I want to raise money for Endometriosis research specifically - in the hope that women and girls of the future have a cure!

Some statistics for you:

Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women in the U.K. of reproductive age.

That's estimated to be 10% of women worldwide - that's 176 million!

I would love it, and be ever so grateful if you could donate what ever you can afford, or what ever you may have spent partying on down at my 30th party towards this cause.

I am passionate about Endometriosis research to my very core! (pun intended)

Peace, love and healing 🌈👏❤🤘
