Story
Last year you guys helped raise over £1300 for Syrian refugees when I ate one meal a day and slept on the floor over lent. Amazingly, it’s been a year. Lent is here again, and I’m doing it again - for a different cause.
This summer I’m planning to go out to Uganda with Abaana, who are “an organisation committed to meeting the needs of the children of Uganda, helping them to break the chains of poverty through education.” Abaana has built 13 schools throughout Uganda, and currently provides sponsorship for 1,350 children. It’s a fantastic charity.
The team I’m hoping to be a part of will be working with street kids, helping run a summer scheme in some of the schools Abaana have built, and working on a building project, building accommodation for teachers.
But I need your help to get there. I need to fundraise around £1600, but would love to raise more so that money can go straight to the cause as well. If you can spare any money, no matter how small, it’d be really appreciated. Please make this worthwhile!
