Story

Hi

My name is Joseph Hibbert I am 11 years old, I love a challenge & would like to tell you my story.....

Since the age of just 3 years old I've been raising money for Manchester children's hospital. It all started with a mini run in Manchester's Heaton park where I ran 1.5k. I challenged myself further & ran 5k before I was 5 years old. In 2017 I swapped my running shoes for hiking boots and started my three peak challenge..... climbing Ben Nevis the highest mountain in the UK. In 2018 I thought it would be fun to do the same with friends and 7 of them joined me hiking Snowdon. Last year I completed the 3 peaks with 60 friends and family by my side all helping me raise money by Hiking Scafell pike.

This year once again I will be putting on my hiking boots & making my way up Kinder Scout the highest point in the Peak District, which I can tell you is a long way for little legs. Kinder scout is 2,087ft & every step taken I hope will be a step closer to helping a child. I will be doing this with so many friends & family, The youngest being only 5 years old! Together we are the team with a dream, A dream that every child has a chance. However we can not do this alone and need your help to raise as much money as possible. I am extremely pleased to say the following friends & family will be joining me Leeson Sheldon, Davina Sheldon, Lilli Sheldon, Cristina Clarke, Matt Clarke, William Clarke, Joshua Clarke, Harry Clarke, Amy Stewart, Arthur Scrase, Lila Scrase, Philippa Hartley, Steve Hartley, Milly Hartley Hudson Hartley, Sarah, Fineberg, Neil Fineberg, Dylan Fineberg, Zara Fineberg, Karen Monk,Sarah Cowley, Christian Fuchs, Christopher Fuchs, Michael Slatter, David Kitchin, Fiona Kitchin, Harry Kitchin, Olivia Kitchin, James Moore, Simon Moore, Isabella Moore, Helen Nicholson, Gill Halloway, Mark Halloway, Lewis Halloway, Sharron Dobrev, Louis Dobrev, Ludmil Dobrev, Jainam Chatterjee, Rangan Chatterjee, Mark Bradbury, Olivia Bradbury, Hisham Butt, Hannah Butt, Gary Chaplin, Lisa Chaplin, Ava Chaplin, Felix Heaton, Amanda Heaton, David Heaton, Tabi Heaton, Nick Murphy, James Murphy, Viks Harris, Freddie Harris, Annabelle Harris, Tilly Collins, Natalie Collins, Sue Kelly, Lilly Kelly, Courtney Harris, Michael Ryder, Nick Allen, Stacie Allen, Henry Allen, Michael Dodds, Jess Katsouris, Eddie Katsouris, Zachary Katsouris, Sonia Morales, David Mallon, Julius Morales Mallon, Victoria Cook, Freddie Davies, Tom Davies, Jack Whelan, Karen Whelan, Michelle Ashurst, Harriet Ashurst  & and many more. I am really looking forward to making lots of memories with my friends please please help us make some happy memories for the children at the hospital.

This trek up kinder scout maybe challenging for our little legs but its nothing in comparison to the mountains and challenges that the children and parents at the children's hospital face each day. Royal Manchester children's hospital receives over 276,000 patient visits each year across a range of specialists including oncology, haematology, bone marrow transplant, burns, genetics and orthopaedics.

I hope by sharing my story it has and will encourage others especially children to be kind and make the world a nicer place for us to grow. please please help me and my friends raise as much as possible.
